I'm new here and in desperate need of some help with my screen resolution.
After all the Win 7 updates installed yesterday and the day before, my screen resolution is all messed up. It's sort of wider than it should be - like watching 16:9 on a 4:3 TV. I've tried to change the screen's resolution to all of the different possibilities, but they all look awful. It's normally set to the highest resolution (1600x1200) and this is still what looks best, although some thing cannot be seen on the screen (such as 4 out of my usual 12 favourite hyperlinks in my IE browser).
I hadn't done any changes to settings, this just happened after the updates from Windows had been automatically installed.
I've tried some of Windows' own troubleshooting tools, but they don't seem to find anything wrong with the screen. I've also searched for an updated screen driver, but there isn't any.
