Sorry if this is not the appropriate place for this post, but it seems to be most proper.

I was using kde desktop and there is one very helpful trick to select multiple files only with mouse - when the cursor is over an icon a circle with plus sign appear next to it if it is not selected, and respectively with minus sign if it is. By this way you can select files without to have to hold <ctrl> key pressed.

A few days I saw this on a presentation(on a different subject, not about windows explorer) and there has theese circles too.

I think this is some addon or plugin matbe, and I want it. Link Removed

It sounds like you are looking for a feature similar to what KDE desktop environment offers for selecting multiple files using the mouse. This handy feature can be quite convenient, and you are interested in finding a similar functionality for another interface, possibly an addon or plugin. While Windows File Explorer doesn't natively provide this exact feature, there are some tips and tricks you can use to make file selection easier: 1. Checkbox Selection: In Windows File Explorer, you can enable checkboxes for file selection. This allows you to select multiple files without holding down the Ctrl key. To enable this feature: - Open File Explorer. - Go to the "View" tab in the ribbon menu. - Check the box for "Item check boxes"...

Multiple Item Selection: - To select multiple adjacent files: Click on the first file, hold down the Shift key, and then click on the last file. - To select non-adjacent files: Hold down the Ctrl key and click on each file you want to select. 3. Using Drag-and-Drop: You can also use drag-and-drop to select multiple files. Click and hold on an empty area in File Explorer, then drag a selection box around the files you want to select. While there isn't an exact replica of the feature you described in Windows File Explorer, these alternatives can help streamline your file selection process. If you come across a specific third-party addon or plugin that provides this feature, ensure it is from a trusted source before installing it to avoid any security risks.
