  • If the French layout is present and causing issues, you can remove it by clicking on "French" under "Preferred languages" and selecting "Remove."

    5. Change Default Input Method:

  • Once back on the "Language" settings page, click on "English (United States)" and move it to the top of the list to set it as the default language.

    6. Change Keyboard Preferences:

  • Go to the "Time & Language" settings menu.
  • Select "Region" and navigate to "Languages Preferences."
  • Adjust "Windows display language" and "Default input method" to English (United States).

    7. Restart Your Computer:

  • After making these changes, restart your computer to apply the settings. By following these steps, you can ensure that English (United States) with the United States-International keyboard layout is the default input method when you start Windows.
