I'd like to know if i can turn on network discovery and disable anyone from accessing my home folder even if they have the password..

Hi
go to start
in the box type
Network Sharing , click on top option "choose homegroup and sharing settings"
something like tht. Click on Change advanced sharing settings
then under Home Or Work and Public, make sure "turn off file and printer sharing " is selected
all options you want are that menu
