Are there any apps that can provide a 'Shred' option to the right-click context menu? I'm currently using 7600 RTM build of Windows.

I was using Tune-Up Utilities for this and it was very useful as I could switch deletion methods on the fly depending on how sensitive the file that I wanted to delete was. However this one part of Tune-Up isn't functional yet. I know that I can delete files to the Recycle Bin and then shred them with CCleaner but I'd rather shred them immediately if possible. There are a lot of free shredding apps that I can launch and then manually choose which files to delete but they aren't ideal. Any suggestions?

I did find an older app called Acelogix System Tuneup that does allow right-click deletion but it's not free :(

On a side note, is there an alternative to the great 'Unlocker'. Seems not to work either but I read that this is more of a 64 bit problem, rather than specifically to with W7, ie it didn't work with Vista64 either. Cheers!

These tools should help you securely delete files without the need to manually launch an application each time. As for an alternative to Unlocker, you can try using LockHunter. LockHunter is a free tool that helps you delete locked files in Windows by showing you the processes locking the file and giving you options to unlock or delete them. Feel free to try out these alternatives to see which one best fits your requirements for immediate shredding and file deletion with the right-click context menu.
