I'm a semi n00b and I recently upgraded my Toshiba L305 Satellite laptop to Windows 7.
When I put it to sleep it either 1-hangs and then crashes, or 2-it sleeps but upon awaking it crashes. There is no consistency as to when it crashes, sometimes it does't crash at all.
Whomever can help is awesome!! I'm really frustrated! Thank you guys soooo much!

    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f)
    Caused by AnchorFree Hotspot Shield

    Update Atheros Wireless driver:
    athr.sys Mon Sep 21 13:58:25 2009

If crashes persist, uninstall AnchorFree Hotspot Shield and Sandboxie.

Thanks somuchfor the quick response. I got the Atheros driver off of the Toshiba website, it was the one meant for my laptop. It still continues to crash. Actually, that driver that I downloaded was older than the one I had (I have Driver Genius.) Thanks.
P.S. Is there something wrong with ACPI, how would I fix it?

    1. For Atheros you may want to try ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows.

    2.
Did you uninstall them? Hotspold shield is the culprit of your blue screen.

    3. Attach your newest crash dumps.

Ok Thanks so much for all your help. I had already uninstalled HotSpotShield. So now I'm giving up and doing a clean install. I'll update you when I have my computer back online.

Alright I'm back. Thank God I didn't have to do a clean install! - because i FOUND THE PROBLEM - it was Connectify - basically has it a bug and doesn't work properly with Atheros wifi adapters (they are aware of the problem and are working with Atheros) AND i found a CLI work around ( http://www.winsupersite.com/article/faqtip/windows-7-tip-of-the-week-use-wireless-hosted-networking-to-share-an-internet-connection-wirelessly.aspx ) so all is good in my world.
You should keep this in mind when helping other people (it seems it's a relatively common issue) Thank you again for all you help!!
