Hello, I recently wiped my hard drive and installed windows 7 home edition but I've been having alot of issues recently, if my computer boots up at all. Sometimes it just loops the sound of the fans starting up for as long as 20 minutes. Sometimes it just has graphics errors on the boot up screens.

Some of the errors I have encountered are BSOD's like 0x00000008E/0A/1A/1C and C5
    WER-27019-0.sysdata.XML
    090511-24492-01.dmp

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

    Bootmgr error and checksum errors.

    win32k error.

    0x734b5e7d

I've no clue what to do about it! I've wiped and formatted several times now.

Hi Adramlech and Welcome to The Forum.

Can you please attach your latest dump file(s) in a zip file to a post. Could you also read the stickies at the top of the BSOD forum for valid information that will help.

Basically, the more we know of what you are running and how you are running it, the easier and quicker it is to resolve your issue.

(Imagine meeting your best friend and saying "I had a bluescreen" And your friend says "That's nothing, I had a yellow lollypop". See what I mean? No connection!!)

Won't let me post a zip file so heres the dump files themselves, I tried zipping with 7zip or is there a recommended one?

I tend to use the inbuilt Windows zip. Or WinRAR.

It's a lot handier for us poor bu**ers on this end D/Ling your dumps in one file. But what the heck, you got them attached, that's the main thing. That'll be the start of sorting you out.

I have noticed you have 6Gb of ram, but you only posted the one 2Gb stick/slot. Can you post them all? (under CPU). Your RAM timings as far as I can see are a mile out on the one stick (slot) you've shown us

Did I say CPU? (Yes I did). My apologies I should have said every slot# under the SPD tab.

    STOP 0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    Usual causes:
Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint in startup without having a debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, 3rd party remote control, Memory

Your latest dump file lists win32k.sys as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes often indicate hardware issues.

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: a30cc82b, The address that the exception occurred at

Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

Thanks, I hadnt actually updated drivers because I had been crashing so much and even once it wiped my entire c drive. I'll post the rest of the ram when I can, it won't boot past the motherboard logo at the moment.

Really appreciate the help, I'll get back to you when I can.

So, you cannot get past the BIOS screen? That wipes out my suggestion to get into safe mode!

Can you actually get into BIOS? On my PC I have to press F2 at the BIOS screen.

If you can, can you see if your RAM timings are set to (auto) or do they have numbers next to them? In your case 6 6 6 15.

If it says 6 6 6 15 can you change them to (auto).

If it does already say (auto), set the timings to 9 9 9 24

(In my BIOS the headings I look for are Advanced then the sub-heading Chipset Configuration).

If that doesn't seem to help, go back into your BIOS and change the 1T setting to 2T and try again.

    HTH.

I, of course, assume you are using another PC to post!!

Yeah I was, managed to get onto my PC so I will post those other two SPD screenshots and try your suggestions. I can sometimes boot up or get into safe mode but it can take awhile sometimes.

I don't think this is your problem for a moment, but hey, let's cover all bases! On your other PC can you download TDSSKiller and put it on a USB.

On your problematic machine, when you can get in Safe Mode, run it. It'll be one less thing to worry about.

(Elmer mutters to self "Where are the RAM geniuses when you need them? :))

Try your system without the memory that is currently in Slot #1 on your motherboard.
According to the images you've badly mismatched some old ram or there is something wrong, possibly removing and re-seating might help. It looks like the same part number, but CPU-z is not seeing it properly.
Remove, make sure it's identical (or very close) re-seat, run CPU-z Again and attach screen shots for all three slots under the SPD tab.

Finally managed to get onto the BIOS, I tried changing it to 2T but when I tried booting it said I had to change it back in bios because it cant overclock. I don't know how to change it from 6-6-6-15 either, its blanked out.
