Someone installed Windows 7 on one of the office computers (the main one). I installed Windows 7 on another one.

On the main one, some things keeps resettings, like, one printer profile, I keep delating, it keeps coming back. The printer settings, keeps going back to colors, and everytime during startup, Dropbox setup thing keeps poping up. You know the thing you get after installing it, where it asks you if you already have a Dropbox account or not.

I set it up, and no matter how many times, I restart the computer, and it pops up again. The same thing. It already installed, it just the setup. The problem is only on the main computer. Both computer have Windows 7: Ultimate (32 Bit), the orginally had Windows 7: Home Premium.

How do I get it to stop resetting things?

BTW, I uninstalled Dropbox, and installed it again, I get the same problem. It seems to be, just Dropbox, one printer profile and printer settings, that keeps changing back. Everything else seems to work fine.

[]Since you mentioned that even after reinstalling Dropbox the issue persists, you can try the following:
    • Check for any startup entries related to Dropbox that might be causing the setup to run at every startup.
    • Remove any leftover configuration files or settings related to Dropbox.

      3. General Steps:

]User Account Control (UAC): Ensure that UAC settings are not interfering with the changes you make. You can adjust UAC settings to see if it resolves the issue. []Permissions: Check the permissions on the folders where the settings are stored to ensure they are not being reset due to lack of write permissions.

    4. Additional Tips:

    [
]System Restore: Consider using System Restore to revert the system to a point before these issues started occurring.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Use Windows built-in troubleshooting tools to identify any system issues that might be causing the settings to reset. By following these steps, you should be able to address the issues with the printer settings, Dropbox setup, and prevent settings from resetting on the main office computer running Windows 7.
