Windows 7 Sony Optiarc AD-7241S problem

I have dual boot (win 7/win xp). My dvd-rom works perfecty in win xp but in Win 7 i can't read any dvd-s, it sends pc to "not responding". I have the latest firmware. What do i do?

Just found this post and thought at first that I had written it because I have the exact same problem on the exact same setup.

Dual boot Windows 7 and XP and a Sony Optiarc AD-7241S.

Starts to play a DVD about 10 seconds then freezes.

Cannot install games on DVD

Did you ever get it fixed if so please please let me know.
