Sorry if this has been done before...
I am so elated because I found out what was wrong with my sound in Windows 7. I tried reinstalling drivers, changing devices, running in compatibility mode but nothing seemed to work in the sound department of 7.
I finally decided to try unplugging my headphones from the speaker jack (Black) into the Green jack on the back of my PC and it worked fine!
I hope this can help someone else that is having the same problem.
