I am having a problem with splwow64.exe hanging up my PC, but only once per day.
I routinely start a process in the morning, it can be Snagit, Notepad, Word, Textpad, Excel - really anything that might print. It doesn't matter. The application appears "hung". I then open the Resource Monitor to find that process, examine the wait chain and stop the splwow64.exe process.
Everything works fine for the rest of the day.
There is about a half dozen copies of splwow64.exe on the PC, so I don't know which one is causing the problem, or even if it's a deeper problem, or if replacing it would help. All I know is that if I kill the splwow64.exe in resource monitor once, everything works fine.
scf/scannow finds no problems.
Any tips?
