Windows 7 Stange Gadgets error

My gadgets worked fine on my desktop for a year now but i got a virus on my pc and got rid of it using the anti virus software.

I rebooted my pc and my gadgets have gone weird. I normally have the clock, radio and weather showing but as you can see from the attached image they have went bizaar.
There is no error messages, just gone blank!!

I have rebooted again and pressed F5 and also reinstalled the gadgets onto the desktop but still the same...

any idea what went wrong or how to get them working again?

Often a problem with virus removal - doesn't always manage to eliminate all the effects. Whe you reinstalled the gadgets had you first uninstalled them and rebooted?

I have just tried unninstalling them, turning off gadgets then reboot and reactivate them but still the same effect

I have also tried all options on this link but still nothing
