Hi, this is regarding my son's pc. He has a problem with it sticking like the cpu is at 100% & everything sticks for a second n then continues for a few n sticks again. I originally thought it was the Q6600 CPU so i upgraded him with a Q9650 CPU but it still happens.
When he is playing games in full screen it works fine, if he changes it to window mode the sticking happens. When watching youtube video's it happens & its really noticeable as it makes the mouse stick for a second & then continue for a few seconds then it sticks again. I have active smart to monitor the HDD & it states performance is good. The GPU came from my own system & it was working perfectly fine so i don't think its that. The motherboard is bran new as in few months old so could a insufficient PSU cause the sticking especially when the system draws more power than it can provide?
Im out of idea's really as I dont want to go spending more money to find out it wasn't that.
