In my VM box, boxsync(cloud) is requesting a permission to access a symbolically linked folder mapped over network drive. I am using Link Extension gui utility for this task. Kindly guide me on this matter.

Solution
Depends how box sync is running. If it's a service it's likely running as SYSTEM which doesn't have permissions to network resources. So you would need to create a user account, allow that account to be used by services, configure the service to login with that account and configure the network share with access for that new account.
Well i can access the files by clicking on the linked shortcut but boxsync cannot. It appears that i have the permission but boxsync cannot. There are other options beside symbolic links like junction, etc. Can you suggest me one.
