I have the same laptop and had the same issue please go to Lenovo's website go to the specific computer support page download the windows 10 drivers. Next make sure you remove bother the synaptic software from control panel uninstall program, and remove the driver from device manager. Restart your computer. After that install the driver, restart your computer. Go to control panel and find the mouse options click on synaptic and see if it works.
Also make sure you go to the power settings and unchecked keyboard and mouse going to sleep because the hardware stops working after it comes back from sleep.
