It seems like you are encountering the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) when trying to watch YouTube videos on your freshly installed Windows 7 x86 system. This issue can be caused by various factors, including hardware compatibility, driver issues, or even software conflicts. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics card drivers can often lead to graphics-related issues, including BSODs. Check System Requirements: While your system specifications (Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, GeForce 8500x series) should be able to handle YouTube videos, it is always good to ensure that your hardware meets the minimum requirements for smooth video playback. 3. Software Conflicts: Sometimes, third-party software or browser extensions can cause conflicts that result in system crashes. Try watching YouTube videos on a different browser or in incognito mode to see if the issue persists. 4. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 7 operating system is up to date with the latest updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches to fix compatibility issues and bugs that could be causing the problem. 5. Monitor System Temperature: Overheating can also cause system crashes. Make sure that your system is adequately cooled and clean from dust to prevent overheating issues. 6. Memory Issues: Run a memory diagnostic tool to check for any potential issues with your RAM. Faulty RAM modules can lead to system instability and crashes. 7. BSOD Error Codes: Take note of any error codes displayed on the blue screen. This information can help pinpoint the exact cause of the crash. By systematically troubleshooting these aspects, you should be able to narrow down the cause of the issue and hopefully resolve your BSOD when playing YouTube videos on your Windows 7 system. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details, including any error codes you encounter, for further assistance.
