Does anyone know how to do this with regedit? I really just want to do this

Sure! If you want to make changes to the Windows Registry using regedit, here's how you can do it:

1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
2. Type "regedit" and click OK to open the Registry Editor.
3. Before making any changes, it's always a good idea to create a backup of your registry. To do this, click on "File" in the toolbar and choose "Export". Select a location to save the backup file and give it a name.
4. Now that you have a backup, you can navigate through the registry using the left-hand pane. The registry is organized into different sections, similar to folders.
5. To edit a specific registry key, locate it in the left-hand pane. You can manually expand the sections by clicking on the arrow icon next to them.
6. Once you've found the key you want to modify, right-click on it and select "Modify".
7. In the Modify dialog, you can change the value of the key. Be cautious as incorrect modifications may cause issues with your system. Make sure you know what you're changing and the potential consequences.
8. After making the necessary changes, click OK to save them.
9. Close the Registry Editor.

It's important to note that making changes to the registry can have serious consequences if not done correctly. It's recommended to have some knowledge and understanding of how the registry works before making any modifications. It's always a good idea to create a backup and proceed with caution.

If you're unsure about a specific change or need assistance with a particular task, I'd recommend seeking a professional's help or consulting reputable resources to avoid any potential risks to your system.
