I have recently been downloading some software so I can run a server on my PC, it runs win 7 home premium and some of these downloads have come from some dodgy places. I have one issue that I cannot find a resolution for on the internet and that is that all my text in things like: home menu, search bars, mozilla, IE and many other programmes is white / clear, upon hi lighting it is visible. Whatever it is it hasn't done anything else and I have had it for a while.

- Thanks for reading

It sounds like the issue you're facing with white or clear text in various applications could be related to a display or theme setting on your Windows 7 Home Premium system. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Adjust Theme Settings:

Adjust Font Settings:

  1. Change System Text Color: Go to Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color > Advanced Appearance Settings. Here, you can adjust the text color settings.

    Adjust Display Settings:

  2. Adjust ClearType Text: Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display...

    Update Graphics Drivers:

  4. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest graphics drivers.

    Run System File Checker:

  5. Run SFC Scan: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow. This will scan and repair system files if any issues are found.

    Scan for Malware:

  6. Run Antivirus Scan: Perform a full system scan with your installed antivirus software to check for any malware that could be causing unusual display behavior. After trying these steps, restart your computer to see if the issue with the white or clear text persists. If the problem continues, you may need to consider restoring your system to a point before downloading software from questionable sources or seek further assistance from a technical expert.
