Windows 7 Trying to install .net framework after running uninstallation tool.

I was having problems with the .net framework, whenever I open a .net application it just crashes, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 isn't working too well either.

I ran the windows 7 .net framework uninstallation tool, and it said all versions are successfully removed, and now i'm trying to reinstall it, but it's telling me to use the 'turn windows feature on or off' to configure the .net framework.

I tried doing that, but the .Net framework wasn't there. I tried opening the installer again, and it says i have to use the 'turn windows features on or off'. Please help?

yeah im having the same problem. ran a sweeper and everytime i try to reinstall windows 3.5 it wont install.... i wonder if because windows 7 by default is loaded with the 3.5sp1 that it wont let itself install or work with JUST the .net framework 3.5...??? Anyone know if this is true?
