I run terminal server on 2008 and 2003 standard servers. I've noticed that when my laptop which is running the RTM Windows 7 release hibernates I can't reconnect to the TS web app page on the 2008 machine. In addition the 2003 server does not show up in the browser list. Both issues resolve when I reboot. Any thoughts on this?

It seems like you are facing connectivity issues with your Terminal Server (TS) setup when your laptop goes into hibernation. Here are a few things to consider and troubleshoot: 1. Network Connectivity: - Ensure that there are no network issues on your laptop or the server that might be causing the connection problem. - Check if other devices can access the TS web app page when your laptop is in hibernation. 2. Power Management Settings: - Hibernation on your laptop may be causing network adapters to be disabled, which can disrupt connections to the TS servers. Review your laptop's power management settings. 3. TS Configuration: - Review the TS configuration settings on both the 2008 and 2003 servers to ensure they are...

Review your laptop's power management settings. 3. TS Configuration: - Review the TS configuration settings on both the 2008 and 2003 servers to ensure they are set up correctly. - Check if there are any specific settings related to inactivity timeouts or hibernation that might be affecting the connectivity. 4. Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Sessions: - When your laptop wakes from hibernation, it might not be re-establishing the RDP session correctly. Try reconnecting manually to see if that resolves the issue. 5. Browser Issues: - If the 2003 server is not showing up in the browser list, it could be a browser-related issue. Try accessing the server directly using its IP address. 6. Reboot versus Manual Reconnection: - Investigate if simply manually reconnecting to the TS servers after hibernation on your laptop resolves the issue without requiring a full reboot. 7. Firewall and Security Software: - Check if any firewall or security software on your laptop is blocking the connection to the TS servers after hibernation. By examining these aspects and potentially adjusting settings related to power management, network connectivity, and TS configuration, you may be able to address the issues you're encountering with TS connectivity when your laptop hibernates.
