I have a saved search that scans my music folder for DRM-free songs, i was expecting it to update and add more songs to the search as they were added to the music folder, however this is not the case, is there a way to make it this way?

Solution
To ensure that your saved search in your music folder dynamically updates to include new DRM-free songs as they are added to the folder, you can set up a custom search query that automatically refreshes or updates the search results. Here's how you can achieve this on Windows: 1. Use Windows Search Feature: - Windows has a powerful search feature that allows you to create custom searches that can be saved and updated automatically. You can create a saved search within Windows Explorer that specifies the criteria for DRM-free songs. 2. Customize the Search Criteria: - In the search bar of your music folder in Windows Explorer, type in the criteria for DRM-free songs. For example, you can search for files with a specific file...

Customize the Search Criteria: - In the search bar of your music folder in Windows Explorer, type in the criteria for DRM-free songs. For example, you can search for files with a specific file extension known for DRM-free files. - Once you have the results that match your criteria, you can save this search. 3. Save the Search: - After customizing your search to include only DRM-free songs, you can save this search by clicking on "Save search" or similar option depending on your Windows version. - Give your saved search a name and choose where you want to save it (e.g., in the music folder itself). 4. Ensure Automatic Update: - By default, Windows should update the search results of your saved search automatically as files matching the criteria are added or removed from the folder. - If you find that the search results are not updating automatically, you can try refreshing the search location to ensure that it reflects the latest changes. 5. Check Folder Indexing: - Make sure that the folder where your music files are stored is included in Windows Indexing options. This allows Windows to quickly search and find new files that match the search criteria. By following these steps, you should be able to set up a saved search that dynamically updates and adds new DRM-free songs as they are added to your music folder.
