Windows 7 User profile loading incorrectly (Win 7 Ultimate)

So I turn on my comp as usual, but this time after typing in my password to my admin profile a message appears - "preparing your desktop" - which doesn't appear when my profile loads correctly.

My desktop appears and my desktop icons, quickstart programs, wallpaper, all the user settings are gone. Though when I click start, it says that I am logged onto my profile when clearly it looks like a temp profile.

Never happened to me before, the last thing I was doing with my comp was going on Facebook and ending a Modern Warfare 2 session.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
6GB RAM
Intel i7-920 2.66Ghz
ATI HD5870

Solution from Microsoft:
A temporary profile is loaded after you log on to a Windows Vista-based system
It's about Vista but I read that it works for 7 too.
