Windows 7 uTorrent says Port is closed

Hi.

Yes, it will limit speed when the torrent only has a little amount of seeders and peers.

For huge torrents, it's much less of an issue.

Your screenshot means that others can not connect to you, but you can obviously still connect to them.

If you want to fix that, enable UPnP in your router. Also, make sure the UPnP service is started in Windows. Type services.msc in the start menu then press enter to get to the services settings screen.

If you have a 3rd party firewall, you'll also have to allow serving permissions there for uTorrent as well.
