So I have been getting 5-6 different kinds of blue screens randomly, it could be between 10 minutes or an hour but they come no matter what. I had the same problem with the computer when I was running Windows XP Home Edition, although some of these were issues with my graphics card. So I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium after formatting my disk and recreating the partition at least 10 times (I did use windows easy transfer to bring some files over). This however did not help and for some reason I even experienced BSOD whilst trying to install windows 7. Soo now I recieve random BSOD quite frequently. All drivers are the latest, I have run various memory diagnostic tools without success, i've used chkdsk /f more times then I care to count. Also whilst the BSOD seem random enough i've noticed its always when i'm downloading (watching videos etc.) or installing, that said if I leave it idle to long it freezes. Soo any thoughts?

Also, not sure if this helps, I seem to recieve alot of application errors, sometimes right before the BSOD sometimes out of no where. Usually its a matter of restarting the program but most of the time I have to restart my PC. And sorry about the long post but I figured the more detailed the information the easier it is to pinpoint and fix the problem.

EDIT* I was able to get memory diagnostic to work just now and it told me I have a memory problem and that I was to contact the manufacturer. Go ahead and delete this post if you are unable to help

RAM frequency is set wrong. In the bios, set DRAM frequency "Auto".

I am currently updating both drivers however the DRAM frequency was already set to Auto. Does this have any effect?

These timings look funny for to be set onto Auto, are you sure 100% they are set to Auto? mabe just the kind of memory.

@ Trailblazer, if you get another bsod, set DRAM frequency 400Mhz. The timings look right.

I will do that as soon as I get a monitor to work. I changed the frequency sort of trial and error but now when the computer boots I get no picture. I am 100% sure it was set to auto.

EDIT* Ok soo I managed to get picture back turns out it was the DRAM frequency change I made and I just had to restore bios settings to default. Once again I checked the setting is definitely on auto. Also there is no 400mhz setting for the DRAM frequency it goes from 800mhz and up at odd values although I was able to find the raim is pc3 6400 if that helps, also my network adapter has recently been experiencing difficulties starting. Thanks for any thoughts.

    Regards

Of course there is no 400Mhz value there because DDR means Double Data Rate which lets DDR400 work as 800Mhz effective. So set it 800. :)
