hi i recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit , and i use ventrilo 2.1.4 and there is a problem with the sound i randomly stop hearing what people are saying like it is muted or something and when i disconnect i hear everything that was being said while it was muted over a short period of time , it is like when it gets muted every sound gets stacked and when i disconnect all the sound that got stacked up gets played really fast. i have 2 friends with w7 and they go to the same vent as me and they also got this problem. Sorry for my bad english , thanks (when i reconnect everything is normal, but at some random points it happens again so i have to recconect)

It seems like you are encountering an issue with sound on Ventrilo while using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The problem you described, where you randomly stop hearing what people are saying, sounds like the audio may be getting blocked or delayed at certain points. To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps: 1. Update Audio Drivers: - Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause problems with sound playback. 2. Check Audio Settings: - Verify the audio settings within Ventrilo and your Windows settings. Make sure that no settings are muting the sound or causing it to be delayed. 3. Adjust Ventrilo Settings: - In Ventrilo, check the configuration for any settings...

Make sure that the settings are optimal for your system. 4. Run Ventrilo in Compatibility Mode: - You can try running Ventrilo in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. Right-click on the Ventrilo executable, go to Properties, and navigate to the Compatibility tab to make these changes. 5. Check for Ventrilo Updates: - Ensure that you are using the latest version of Ventrilo. Check the Ventrilo website for any updates or patches that may address sound issues with Windows 7. 6. Test with Different Audio Hardware: - If possible, try using different audio hardware like headphones or speakers to rule out any issues with your current setup. 7. Monitor CPU and Memory Usage: - High CPU or memory usage could affect the performance of Ventrilo and lead to sound issues. Check your system's resource usage while running Ventrilo. 8. Contact Ventrilo Support: - If the issue persists, reaching out to Ventrilo support for further assistance or checking their forums for similar issues may be helpful. If you and your friends are all experiencing the same problem, it could be related to compatibility issues with Ventrilo and Windows 7. By following these steps, you may be able to identify and resolve the sound issue you are facing.
