Hello Folks,
i have a very strange issue with my media playback.

In the beginning everything was all right. Now somtimes I can hear anything from media playback while normal sound effects and sound from games work.

After some restarts, sometimes only one, it works again completly. I can hear everything and playback everything normally.

This effect nor occurs regularly and is tested with WMP, VLC and MPC.

I have no idea who to solve that issue.

Keep in mind, normally everthing works fine.

Solution
It sounds like you're experiencing an intermittent issue with your media playback where sometimes you can't hear anything while other times it works fine. Since you've mentioned that the problem is not consistent and that you've tested it with different media players like Windows Media Player, VLC, and MPC, there could be a few possible reasons for this behavior. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue: 1. Check Sound Settings: - Make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted on both the system volume and the media player you are using. - Check the audio output settings in each media player to ensure the correct output device is selected. 2. Update Audio Drivers: - Outdated or...

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue: 1. Check Sound Settings: - Make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted on both the system volume and the media player you are using. - Check the audio output settings in each media player to ensure the correct output device is selected. 2. Update Audio Drivers: - Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can sometimes cause sound issues. Try updating your audio drivers to the latest version. You can do this through Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website for driver updates. 3. Restart Windows Audio Service: - Sometimes restarting the Windows Audio service can resolve sound issues. You can do this by: - Pressing Win + R, typing services.msc, and pressing Enter. - Locate the "Windows Audio" service, right-click on it, and select "Restart". 4. Run Audio Troubleshooter: - Windows has a built-in audio troubleshooter that can help identify and fix common audio issues. You can access it by right-clicking on the volume icon in the system tray and selecting "Troubleshoot sound problems". 5. Check for Windows Updates: - Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updates contain bug fixes that could address issues with sound playback. 6. Disable Audio Enhancements: - Audio enhancements or sound effects may interfere with the normal playback. Try disabling any enhancements in the sound settings or in the audio driver settings. 7. Test in Safe Mode: - Boot your computer into Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is caused by third-party software. 8. Check for Third-Party Software Interference: - Some third-party applications or services may conflict with the audio playback. Try disabling unnecessary startup programs or performing a clean boot to isolate the issue. If after following these steps the issue persists, it might be worth considering more in-depth troubleshooting or seeking assistance from a professional technician. Let me know if you need further guidance or if you encounter any specific errors during these steps.
