Windows Vista Vista Desktop Switcher

I cannot operate the new updated window switcher on Vista. How do I do it? Please help

the switcher icon should be on the taskbar below the desktop.
click on it, all pages that are open will cascade across the desktop,
click on the one you want

Ive tried that already, im using the Vista Basic Home Edition, is that the reason?

yep, home basic does not use that feature
