Hi all!
System:
Laptop
Link Removed - Invalid URL
LG, K2-PRO
RAM: 2.5 GB
Graphic Card on Board
Windows 7 RC1, build 7100.

I can change only solid colors but not pictures on the desktop.

I can use Aero Desktop with full transparency it means that problem is not graphical card or RAM (2.5 GB)..

Secondary I tried check the system for broken or modified files.

I opened CMD window as Admin, and typed SFC /SCANNOW. Get message: "Windows Resource Protection did not fined any integrity violations."

I don't know what to do..:(

Will be very nice if somebody would send me advice to [email protected]

Thanks a lot!

i have same problem
i can change solid color but when i put a picture or default themes wallpaper wont change.

it was fine a few weeks ago i dont know what i did

2371.png

on personalization it seems fine but it wont show up.
there is no problem with aero

You may need to change Picture Location:

DA.PNG

Note:

Windows 7 Starter edition comes with one desktop background, which can't be changed or customized.

If you still can't change the background, open this with windows explorer:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\

empty this folder (delete or move its files to a different location if you want to back up).

Reboot.

nope it wont change ..
i've tried every thing i know.
it's driving me crazy

ok
i delete every thing in
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\
than i change to default windows 7 theme and that blue wallpaper (TranscodedWallpaper.jpg)
came back..
so there is no problem with locations.

when i logof or turnof wallpaper shows but on desktop only sold color.
