hey all! I've been having some troubles with my PC and wondering if someone on here could help me out!? So lately my google chrome has been opening randomly, multiple times, and its really annoying! It will even do it when I am in games and it would minimize my game every time it did it. So I thought it was a virus and I completely formatted my computer, and it still seems to be doing this same thing. It is doing it on google chrome and internet explorer. It does not matter which browser I am using, it just does it to what ever one I have set as default. I have a Alienware Aurora R4 desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

    ]Task Manager Examination:
    • Use Task Manager to monitor processes that are running in the background.
    • Look for any unusual or unfamiliar processes that might be related to this issue.
    []Startup Programs:
    • Check your startup programs for any suspicious entries that might be causing the browsers to open randomly.

    ]Browser Settings:
    • Reset your browser settings to default.
    • Clear cache and cookies in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
    []Windows Task Scheduler:
    • Check the Windows Task Scheduler for any tasks that might be launching Google Chrome or Internet Explorer unexpectedly.
    [
    ]System File Checker:
    • Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files.
      Code:
       sfc /scannow

      Additional Notes:

      • It's worth monitoring your system closely even after taking these steps to see if the issue persists.
      • Since your issue occurs with multiple browsers, it may not be browser-specific but rather related to a system-wide issue.
      • Your Alienware Aurora R4 desktop should be capable of running Windows 10, which is more secure and receives regular updates compared to Windows 7.
Before proceeding with any of these steps, it's recommended to back up any important data on your PC. If you need further assistance with any specific step or encounter any difficulties, feel free to ask for help!
