I got an HP DV9000 laptop that came with Vista Home Premium on it, so will my drivers cd work for windows 7 because my graphics and aero and all that shit isn't working on here.

Solution
Upgrading from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 on your HP DV9000 laptop should be feasible, but using the drivers CD that came with the laptop originally for Vista Home Premium might not be the best option for Windows 7. Here are a few steps you can take to address the issues with graphics and Aero after upgrading to Windows 7: 1. Windows 7 Drivers: It's recommended to download and install the latest Windows 7 compatible drivers for your HP DV9000 laptop from the HP website or directly from the hardware manufacturer's website. This ensures that you have the most up-to-date drivers that are compatible with Windows 7. 2. Graphics Driver: The lack of proper graphics drivers can often cause issues like Aero not working...

Make sure to download and install the correct graphics driver for Windows 7 to enable all graphics features. 3. Aero: If Aero is not working after upgrading to Windows 7, you can try troubleshooting it by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting "Personalize," and then checking if Aero themes are available. If not, you might need to update your graphics driver or hardware to support Aero. 4. Device Manager: Check the Device Manager in Windows 7 to identify any hardware that might not have the correct drivers installed. Look for any yellow exclamation marks which indicate missing or outdated drivers. 5. Compatibility Mode: If you are having trouble installing drivers meant for Windows Vista on Windows 7, you can try running the installation in compatibility mode. Right-click the driver installation file, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for," then select Windows Vista. 6. Windows Update: After installing Windows 7, make sure to run Windows Update to automatically download and install any additional drivers that Windows recognizes for your hardware. 7. HP Support: If you encounter difficulties finding the right drivers, you can reach out to HP support for assistance or check their support website for specific drivers for your HP DV9000 model. By following these steps and ensuring you have the correct drivers for Windows 7, you should be able to resolve the graphics and Aero issues on your HP DV9000 laptop after upgrading from Windows Vista Home Premium.
