Sometimes, the USB port itself may be causing the problem. 4. Restart Your Computer: - A simple restart can sometimes resolve software glitches or conflicts that may be causing the issue. 5. Use a Different Photo Import Method: - If the Photos app continues to show errors, you can try importing the photos using alternative methods like File Explorer. Simply navigate to the SD card through File Explorer and copy the photos to a folder on your computer. 6. Check Storage Permissions: - Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access and copy files from the SD card. Right-click on the drive in File Explorer, go to "Properties," then to the "Security" tab to adjust permissions if needed. 7. Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter: - Windows includes a troubleshooter specifically for Windows Store apps. You can run this troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix common issues related to Windows Store apps like the Photos app. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with importing photos from your SD card using the Photos app on Windows 8.
