Hi All..

Hoping that I have the correct forum here to ask this question...

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P300 laptop and the Motherboard configuration is:

Operating System Properties:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
OS Language English (United States)
OS Kernel Type Multiprocessor Free (32-bit)
OS Version 6.1.7601 (Win7 RTM)
OS Service Pack Service Pack 1
OS Installation Date 28/09/2010
OS Root C:\Windows

Motherboard:
CPU Type Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo T9400,2533 MHz(9.5 x 267)
Motherboard Name Toshiba Satellite Pro P300
Motherboard Chipset Intel Cantiga PM45
System Memory: 3066 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)
DIMM1: Micron 16HTF25664HY-800E1 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM
DIMM3: Micron 16HTF25664HY-800E1 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM

I noticed that even though I have two(2)2GB Memory modules installed, It appears that I am only using 3GB total.???I thought that I might have a faulty memory module and decided to see about purchasing another module, but, when I spoke to the store assistant, he told me that only x64 would be able to use the FULL 4GB of memory and that x32 has a limitation.??Can someone please confirm if this is the case or not.???

Regards

Julius

Yea, with 32bit you are limited to roughly 3.25gb, no matter how much ram you throw in the machine.
