Hi all, i've a new laptop Lenovo Y460 preinstalled with Win7 64bit. My desktop running Win7 32bit is able to connect to internet thru my HTC HD2's Wifi router mode.

However, my new laptop though able to detect and connect to my HD2 but reports no internet access. Strangely, the laptop is able to connect to internet thru my home router.

Ive used several laptops running mainly 32bit Win7 to connect to internet thru my HD2 without problem.

Could anyone help? Especially members on Win7 64bit who ownes a HD2.

Thank you.

Solution
It seems like there might be an issue with the connection between your Lenovo Y460 laptop, running Windows 7 64-bit, and your HTC HD2 being used as a Wi-Fi router. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue: 1. Update Network Adapter Drivers: - Make sure that the network adapter drivers on your Lenovo Y460 are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connectivity issues. You can typically download the latest drivers from the Lenovo support website. 2. Check Network Settings: - Double-check the network settings on your Lenovo Y460. Ensure that the settings for connecting to the HTC HD2 are correct. You may need to set up a new connection profile specifically for the HD2. 3. Reset TCP/IP...

Open a command prompt with administrative privileges and run the following commands:
Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset
4. Disable IPv6: - Sometimes, disabling IPv6 can help resolve connectivity issues. To do this, navigate to the network adapter settings, locate the IPv6 protocol, and disable it. 5. Forget Network and Reconnect: - Forget the network connection to your HTC HD2 on the laptop and then reconnect to it. This can sometimes resolve issues related to saved network configurations. If after trying these steps you are still facing issues, feel free to provide more details, and we can further troubleshoot the problem.
