I accidently installed Windows 7 too many times on my pc. The same laptop I just kept doing reinstalls due to bad software (Don't ask) But after a while it rejected the product key. But I activated through phone.

But I read that it does that if you activate too many times in 120 days. So will it reset so I can activate online again after 4 months?

When you activate Windows 7 multiple times on the same device, especially due to reinstalls, there's a limit to how many times you can activate it using the same product key within a specific period. This limit is in place to prevent misuse of product keys.
If you've activated Windows 7 too many times within a short period, and your product key got rejected, you can still reactivate it through the automated phone system. This method usually works even if online activation fails due to hitting the activation limit.
Regarding the activation limit reset, typically, the activation count will reset after a period of time. In your case, you mentioned that it's around 120 days. So, you should be able to activate Windows online again after...

If you encounter any issues or have further concerns, it's best to contact Microsoft Support for assistance with Windows activation to ensure everything is in order when you try to activate online again after the specified waiting period.
