From my Windows 7 computer I can ping the IP Address of the mac server, I can ping the name of the mac server, I can connect with Link Removed but when I try to use Link Removed i get an error message saying that "The network path was not found." Any Ideas as to what is going on?

Thanks...

Solution
It seems like you are encountering issues accessing the Mac server from your Windows 7 computer using a network path. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the "The network path was not found" error message:
  1. Check Network Connectivity:
    • Ensure that both your Windows 7 computer and the Mac server are connected to the same network.
    • Verify that the IP address and DNS settings are correctly configured on both devices.
    []Verify File Sharing Settings:
    • Make sure that file sharing is enabled on the Mac server and that the folder you are trying to access is shared.
    • Check the sharing permissions on the Mac server to ensure that your Windows 7 user account has appropriate access...

    ]Use the IP Address:
    • Instead of using the server name, try accessing the server using its IP address in the network path (e.g., \\IP_Address\Shared_Folder).
    []Check Firewall Settings:
    • Ensure that the firewall settings on both the Windows 7 computer and the Mac server allow file sharing and network communication.
    • Temporarily disable the firewall on both devices to see if it resolves the issue.
    [
    ]Restart Services:
    • Restart the File and Printer Sharing services on both the Windows 7 computer and the Mac server.
    []Update Network Drivers:
    • Ensure that the network drivers on your Windows 7 computer are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connectivity issues.
    [
    ]Network Discovery:
    • Make sure network discovery is turned on in the Network and Sharing Center settings on your Windows 7 computer.
  2. Reset TCP/IP:
    • You can try resetting the TCP/IP stack on your Windows 7 computer by running the command netsh int ip reset in Command Prompt with administrative privileges. By following these steps, you may be able to troubleshoot and fix the issue with accessing the Mac server from your Windows 7 computer. If the issue persists, further investigation might be needed to identify the root cause of the problem.
