OK, I am running Windows 7 7022, and am getting this error when I try to play some of my music:

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.

The music doesn't show up in my music library, but it there on my hard drive, and when I play it I get the above error. I had another problem recently where I lost permission to access many folders including My Music. When I went to them in My Computer it got a message saying I did not have permission, but I just clicked access anyway and it was able to get into the folder. None of my libraries showed up in My Computer till I found the system folder that contains the libraries and had to do the same thing.

The reason I upgraded to build 7022 was because I had all kinds of simmilar problems with build 7000. Any help?

]Consider Using a Different Media Player:
    • If the issue persists, you may consider using an alternative media player like VLC Media Player as a temporary solution.

      Update to Windows 10:

Given that Windows 7 is out of support, an upgrade to Windows 10 might prevent you from encountering such issues and provide better security and compatibility in the long run. Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance or if you encounter any specific issues during the troubleshooting process.
