New here and was wondering if anybody could help me with this issue.

Just decided to upgrade from SP3 to 7 today, downloaded, burned and now when i boot from disk. windows loads then an error pops up saying

"Windows failed to load because a critical , missing, or corrupt"

"\windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys"

Would appreciate the help if anyone can. Thanks

Hi.

I'm curious ... Did you get the iso from microsoft ?

search google for that file and with a iso archive manager modifier or something like that .. and also try to search for the corrupted file and download it
Then go to the specified path using the iso archive manager , Delete the ntfs corrupted file and replace with the one you got over the web.
Burn the iso to another dvd with a slower speed .
Give feedback here.
