Last month we informed you about Kohjinsha’s new dual screen DZ series netbook PC that ran Windows 7. This DZ series netbook featured dual 10.1 inches widescreen displays with each having 1024×600 resolution. It was powered by 1.6 Ghz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor with 5780MN chipset and ATI Radeon HD Integrated graphics card.
Now following in the foot steps of Kohjinsha, Onkyo has launched its own dual screen DX series netbook offering that provides a pair of 10.1-inch LCD displays of 1366×768 pixel as compared to 1024×600 panels used on the Kohjinsha without increase in its overall size. Furthermore, in comparison to Kohjinsha’s 1GB of memory, 1.6GHz Athlon Neo MV-40, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, 160 GB 5,400 rpm HDD, 802.11n WiFi 2.1 + EDR, and 3x USB jacks, Onkyo offers 2GB of memory which is expandable to 4GB, a 320GB 5,400rpm HDD, Gigabit Ethernet, and 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
Not only the specs but the price tag also places Onkyo at a superior position than Kojinsha’s dual screen netbook offering. Onkyo’s DX dual-screen netbook is a far better deal than Kohjinsha’s DZ series.
