    Hi,

I had just installed the Windows 7 x86 on my laptop Asus X80L and found 2 "Base System Device" errors. Can somebody let me know what type of hardware it mentioned? I have no idea what driver is missing.
    Thanks in advance.

You'll be lucky to find someone here with your same laptop and same problem but if you google

    Base System Device errors

You'll find over 1 million articles. Odds are that some of them have a solution.

This link ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download worked for me. I downloaded all the Vista drivers (no Win 7 drivers available) for our ASUS X80L and the two missing Base System Device drivers were installed when I installed the Ricoh drivers (Ricoh R5C83x/84x Flash Media Controller Driver).
