Windows Calendar is not working

I was able to get Windows Mail to work on Windows 7 and created a folder for Windows Calendar, put the files there but the program will not execute from Windows Mail. It will run on it's own, but the reminders won't alert me and like I said, it won't run when I click the icon inside Windows Mail. Any suggestions?

Have you considered using Windows Live Mail instead? It comes with a fully functional calendar built in, and has a similar interface as Windows Mail. Its also updated more often with new versions. It is part of Windows Live Essentials but if you do a custom install you can select to only install the Mail program. You can download it from Microsoft here.
