When I insert a blank dvd, I made the setting so that everytime I did, autoplay would start windows dvd maker. However, now an error message pops up saying, "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

I can't find windows dvd maker in the default programs control panel to make an association, and came to the conclusion that maybe something was accidently delete in the registry.

I went to "Set your default programs" and the dvd maker program isn't listed under there. I searched forums and found that to add a program to the default programs, you need to do something under regedit. If I can get the dvd maker under the default programs list, I can make an association in the Default Programs control panel so it autoplays when I stick a blank dvd in my drive.

Is there any other way? Thanks
