I am trying to transfer files etc from my W7 64bit computer to my W7 32bit laptop using the Belken Easy transfer cable for W7. And Windows Easy Transfer.

I get the message W7 64 bit can't be transfered to W7 32 bit.

Any help would be apreciated. :(

Solution
Transferring files between a Windows 7 64-bit computer and a Windows 7 32-bit laptop should be possible using Windows Easy Transfer. However, there are some considerations and steps you can take to ensure a successful transfer: 1. Use an External Storage Device: If transferring directly between the systems is proving difficult, you can consider using an external storage device like a USB flash drive or an external hard drive to copy the files from the 64-bit computer and then transfer them to the 32-bit laptop. 2. Windows Easy Transfer Steps: - 64-bit to 32-bit Limitations: Windows Easy Transfer might mention that transferring from a 64-bit to a 32-bit system isn't supported due to architecture differences. Transferring files between a Windows 7 64-bit computer and a Windows 7 32-bit laptop should be possible using Windows Easy Transfer. However, you can still transfer your files manually. - Manual File Transfer: Instead of relying solely on the automated transfer process, you can manually copy your important files such as documents, pictures, music, and videos from your Windows 7 64-bit PC to an external device. - Transferring Settings: Unfortunately, when moving from a 64-bit to a 32-bit system, some settings or applications may not be transferrable due to compatibility issues related to the architecture difference. You may need to reinstall applications on the target 32-bit laptop. 3. Data Backup: Before proceeding with any transfer, ensure you have a backup of your important data. This ensures that even if something goes wrong during the transfer process, your files are safe. 4. Alternate Tools: If Windows Easy Transfer is not working as expected, you can also consider using third-party tools for file transfer, such as external software like EaseUS Todo PCTrans or manually copying files over the network. By following these steps and considering the limitations of transferring between 64-bit and 32-bit systems, you should be able to successfully move your files from your Windows 7 64-bit computer to your Windows 7 32-bit laptop. If you encounter any specific issues during the transfer process, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
