I have upgraded to windows 7 after backing my files. The new Mail has inported the contacts ok. but not my old messages. I know the messages are stored on the back up files how do I find and retrieve them.

Chris, have you tried clicking on 'import' found under files? If you click through you'll eventually find a window where you can browse to the required folder.

    Hi Kemical

Yes i have tried this and it say can not find any mail messages. I am trying to find where the messages are stored so i can import. I tried moving the mail to a different floder no luck. when i try to restore the windows live mail folder it skips all the files.

Have you pointed to Users - Username - Appdata - Local - Microsoft - Windows Live Mail. You should find the folders you need there.
