Windows 7 Wireless Adapter not switching on

Hello all,

I am using Sony Vaio with Intel 965GM chipset and Intel Pro 3945 Wireless adapter. It was working fine. But ever since I installed Windows 7 RC, the wireless adapter isn't switching on.

On clicking the Bluetooth Wireless configuration which had Bluetooth & Wireless LAN configuration previously, now shows only Bluetooth configuration, thus indicating that Windows 7 is unable to switch on the Wireless adapter properly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Utkarsh

Hello Utkarsh,

Welcome to the Windows 7 forums.

I would suggest you go to Start > Help and Surrort an dtype in wireless adapter. If you don't find any info there, search for bluetooth.

Just a note to all posters who are having problems.

In order to troubleshoot your problem we neede to know more detailed specs of your system hardware.

Five choices
1. Go to Start > Run, and type msinfo32
2. Go to Control Panel > Device Manager and look for any entry that has a yellow flag beside it
3. Download |MG| SIW (System Info) 2009.5.12
4. Download |MG| SIV (System Information Viewer) 3.36
5 Please fill out your computers specs in the User Control Panel here on the site as well. It will then appear next to your name. look at my posting and you'll see the drop-down arrow.
