Hi all

When my laptop boots it take ages for it to conect to the wireless network. Everything else is loaded up and i can use the machine but have to wait for it to connect to the internet.

Its no big deal as it does connect but i just wondered if there is a fix for it as i have noticed this happening on every vista machine i have had and its getting on my nerves.

Hope somebody can help

Thanks

Could be and update issue. Check and make sure you have all the latest updates from Microsoft. Next thing to do is make sure your system is bug free and optimized.

Here is a small list it you dont have anything.

Adaware 2008 AE
Auslogic disc defragger
Auslogic registry defragger
CCleaner
IObit Security 360
Malwarebytes Anti-malware
Revo uninstaller
Spybot Search and Destroy
Spyware Doctor (from google pack)

Have You Tried Removing Start up Items?

Go to start up orb, in start search put msconfig. This should bring up " Services Tab" (hit that). On Vista you'll get the system configuration tool- give permission to proceed. Check "Hide All Microsoft Services". Then uncheck all start up items you do not wish to have.

For a list of functions: What they are and what they do see---

Startup Programs Database

Already made sure that the only things running on startup are what i need.

I only have antivirus running at startup.
