Hey guys, I'm going to get a new Laptop and decided to sell some old 1GB Laptop sized RAM to make up some cash so I can get a few extra goodies. (MORE RAM)

Then I wondered, would I like a 2GB 800MHz DDR2 unit or a 3GB 667MHz DDR2 unit?
In other words, what is more useful/which would I rather have for video editing or light gaming (graphic wise)?

And I'm surprised I don't know this already as I'm the guy my friends call to help fix their computer (And I DO have Windows 7 up and running), but is there a difference in the Bus between DDR2 and DDR3? Could I run DDR3 RAM on my Laptop that currently has DDR2 RAM installed?

Solution
Gaming, probably fast RAM, Video editing, probably more RAM.

& DDR2 and DDR3 are completely different specs. Laptops aren't compatible with more than one type.
THE QUESTION HAS BEEN-ETH ANWSERED!

Thank thee, I'll get RAM of size over speed!
