Windows 7 WMP won't play .MP3?

yep. I selected my Line 6 soundcard, and eversince, with or without (Realtek), Line 6 **** uninstalled, K-Lite codec, Windows 7 codec pack..... it doesnt matter, because eversince WMP refuses my .MP3's.

Some files play wihtout sound, some give an error like 'theres a problem playing these files'.

"Help on the web" leads to zero answers. My files are indexed.
 
vlc is great for video files, i like media monkey or winamp for mp3s, and audiograbber for making mp3s
 
Just wondering what happened now. I would also recommend VLC which is my favorite.

I use VLC player for video, media monkey is the best free player for a large music collection that I've found, audiograbber for ripping mp3's :)

VLC is also my main media player. There are very few to nothing VLC can play.
