Amazon Luna games are now accessible from a new Games tab inside the Prime Video app on Fire TV, giving Prime members in the U.S. and U.K. a way to start cloud-streamed titles without opening Luna’s separate application.
As reported by BGR, the integration places Luna alongside Prime Video’s movies, series, live TV, and sports catalogue. Amazon announced the rollout on July 23, 2026, describing it as an effort to reduce the steps between discovering a game and playing it.
On eligible Fire TV devices, the Games tab appears beside the existing Prime Video navigation. Selecting a supported title launches it directly on the TV; players can use a compatible controller or, for supported games, a phone as a controller. Amazon says no download or separate game purchase is required for the Prime-included library.
The current catalogue includes larger games such as Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Fallout 4, alongside Amazon’s GameNight party titles including Clue, Ticket to Ride, and Taboo. The actual selection remains a subscription library, rather than a permanent game collection.
This is a meaningful usability change, not a new Luna tier. Prime members could already access Luna on supported platforms, including Windows PCs through a browser, but Fire TV users previously had to find and launch the Luna app independently.
That context matters for existing Luna customers. The new Prime Video integration makes the included streaming library easier to find, but it does not restore the ability to buy cloud-playable titles or connect third-party subscription libraries. Amazon is effectively positioning Luna as a Prime benefit and discovery feature rather than a conventional cloud-game storefront.
Amazon’s own announcement says the Fire TV implementation is only the first stage. The company plans to bring the Games tab to additional devices and regions “in the coming months,” though it has not provided a specific date for Windows, web browsers, smart TVs, or mobile Prime Video apps.
For Windows users, Luna remains available separately rather than through the Prime Video experience. The next test for Amazon is whether this Fire TV-only integration genuinely improves Luna discovery—and whether the promised expansion arrives before the Games tab becomes just another overlooked row in a crowded streaming interface.

A narrower Luna follows the storefront shutdown
The Prime Video push comes shortly after Amazon simplified Luna’s business model. Amazon ended game-store access, individual game purchases, and third-party subscriptions on April 10, with previously supported titles under those arrangements becoming unavailable through Luna after June 10.That context matters for existing Luna customers. Convenience is the product
For Fire TV households, the practical appeal is simple: a TV streaming stick can now double as a low-commitment gaming endpoint, provided the home connection is good enough for cloud play. It eliminates the install, storage, patching, and hardware-upgrade cycle associated with local PC and console games.
