For prospective buyers, the most tangible deadline is September 9. The less obvious deadline is inventory: GIGABYTE says the gift bags are available only while supplies last, and submissions must be validated before anything ships.
The INFINITY cards were already on the market
The campaign reads like a launch event, but the flagship AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY 32G is not new in August. GIGABYTE announced its availability on May 8, after showing it at CES 2026 in January. NVIDIA’s Computex coverage subsequently confirmed that GIGABYTE was extending the INFINITY design down through the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 tiers.
That timing changes what “40 Days of INFINITY” is doing. This is a 40th-anniversary demand push for a product family that has rolled out in stages, rather than a single-day GPU release. It gives GIGABYTE a way to attach a redemption campaign to newer midrange and upper-midrange INFINITY cards while keeping the RTX 5090 as the prestige centerpiece.
The engineering distinction is real, even if the campaign copy leans heavily on the aerospace-inspired twin-engine appearance. GIGABYTE’s WINDFORCE Hyperburst design uses a double flow-through path: air is intended to pass through the cooler and vented backplate, rather than simply being exhausted around a conventional triple-fan shroud. The flagship adds an independently controlled center “Overdrive” fan that comes on under heavier loads.
GIGABYTE says the 5090 uses a die-cast metal shroud and backplate, a vapor chamber, composite metal grease on the GPU, thermal gel for VRAM and MOSFET contact, and superconducting heat pipes. The manufacturer also quotes a 2,730 MHz boost clock, versus NVIDIA’s 2,407 MHz reference boost for the RTX 5090. Those are meaningful premium-card specifications, but they do not create a new GPU class: all five INFINITY products remain custom-board implementations of NVIDIA’s existing Blackwell GeForce RTX 50-series chips.
The practical specification to check before purchase is physical fit. Independent coverage by Tom’s Hardware put the RTX 5090 INFINITY at 330 mm long, 145 mm wide, and 65 mm thick. That is comparatively compact for a flagship RTX 5090, but it is still a 3-plus-slot card with a 16-pin 12V-2x6 power connection. A case that technically accepts a 330 mm GPU may still leave inadequate room to safely bend a power cable or accommodate a front-mounted radiator.
The “free” gift bag requires a public post
TweakTown describes the gift bag as a redemption made during product registration. GIGABYTE’s official AORUS community notice adds a requirement that deserves equal prominence: applicants must submit the GPU serial number, proof of purchase, contact details, acceptance of the rules and privacy policy, and a link to a public social-media post.
In other words, the redemption is not simply a warranty registration bonus. It is a user-generated marketing campaign tied to a qualifying purchase.
Eligible products are the five INFINITY models: RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD, and RTX 5090. Buyers who obtained an RTX 5090 INFINITY before the campaign began are also eligible, according to GIGABYTE’s AORUS announcement. One validated serial number receives one bag, subject to availability.
The fine print has two concrete implications. First, buyers who prefer not to make a public post should not count the bag as part of the card’s value. Second, submitting a redemption immediately matters more than waiting until the nominal September 9 end date, because GIGABYTE has not disclosed how many gift bags exist or what their contents are. “While supplies last” means the redemption pool can close before the campaign calendar does.
GIGABYTE expects gift bags to ship approximately six to eight weeks after the promotion ends and after submissions are validated. Assuming the campaign ends September 9 as advertised, a successful applicant should not expect the item during the purchase window itself; the indicated timing points to late October through early November at the earliest.
The manufacturer is also asking participants to give it promotional material. Its sweepstakes terms say submitted photos and social content may be used in connection with the promotion and future marketing, with credit provided “where practical.” That language is common for social contests, but it is a meaningful trade for a package whose contents and retail value have not been publicly specified.
The $2,300 sweepstakes has a purchase-free route
The “Create Your INFINITY” contest is separate from the gift-bag redemption, even though completing a validated gift-bag registration can be used as one way to enter. GIGABYTE says three winners will receive DIY hardware packages with an approximate retail value of $2,300 each.
A purchase is explicitly not necessary, and buying an INFINITY card does not increase the chance of winning. The alternate route is a free online entry form paired with a qualifying public social-media post celebrating the INFINITY lineup. GIGABYTE even identifies an AI-generated image inspired by the cards as an eligible example.
That separation matters because the campaign materials could otherwise make the sweepstakes seem like an added benefit for GPU buyers. It is a no-purchase-necessary drawing open to eligible U.S. and Canadian residents. The GPU purchase does, however, provide a ready-made route through the gift-bag registration workflow.
Canadian winners must answer a mathematical skill-testing question, as required by Canadian contest law. GIGABYTE says prizes should ship six to eight weeks after winners are confirmed, rather than after the September 9 campaign close.
For enthusiasts who already own an INFINITY card, the sweepstakes is the low-cost portion of the promotion. For shoppers choosing between GPU models, it should carry essentially no weight. The odds are undisclosed, and the contest does not add performance, warranty coverage, or a guaranteed discount to the graphics card.
The RTX 5090 monitor bundle needs point-of-sale confirmation
TweakTown reports that a U.S. buyer who purchases the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY 32G from Micro Center receives a GIGABYTE MO27Q2A QD-OLED monitor at no charge. On paper, that is the campaign’s most valuable component: the MO27Q2A is a 26.5-inch, 2560×1440, 280 Hz OLED display with a 0.03 ms quoted response time, DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and G-SYNC compatibility.
Micro Center’s product catalog does list both the RTX 5090 INFINITY and the MO27Q2A. Its current listing for the card shows a $5,299.99 price, while the monitor is shown at $399.99, reduced from $659.99. But the publicly visible Micro Center product listing does not itself spell out the free-monitor bundle terms, participating-store scope, or the end date.
That does not disprove the offer; it means buyers should verify that the specific store, SKU, and cart transaction apply the monitor at zero cost before paying. TweakTown is currently the only reporting located that specifies the RTX 5090/MO27Q2A deal, and neither GIGABYTE’s campaign posts nor Micro Center’s public catalog page provides the complete terms.
It is also a bundle that only makes financial sense for a buyer already committed to the top card. An included 1440p 280 Hz monitor is an attractive secondary display or high-refresh competitive-gaming panel, but it does not turn a $5,299.99 RTX 5090 into a value purchase. The GPU is aimed at buyers who need its 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, top-end local AI capability, or maximum 4K/ultrawide ray-traced performance; the monitor is an incentive, not a justification.
The anniversary promotion does not change the buying checklist
The INFINITY family’s actual differentiation is the cooler, industrial design, factory overclock, build materials, and four-year warranty after online registration. The RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD adds a white treatment and wood accents, but it remains an RTX 5080 with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory; its visual treatment does not alter its performance class.
Before treating any of the campaign extras as value, buyers should confirm the card’s street price against other RTX 5070, 5070 Ti, 5080, or 5090 custom designs; check clearance for a 330 mm, 65 mm-thick card where applicable; confirm power-supply capacity and cable routing; and register immediately if the gift bag matters. GIGABYTE’s four-year coverage is contingent on registration, so putting off the campaign paperwork risks both the limited gift bag and the warranty extension.
The deadline to submit under “40 Days of INFINITY” is September 9, 2026. The immediate consequence is simpler: buyers who want the commemorative bag need to be comfortable publishing a post, validate a qualifying serial number before stock is exhausted, and wait until late October or November for delivery.
