Bulletin board systems (BBS) are nearly as old as the Internet itself. But as time has gone on, amazing new social networking features and advanced, often custom programming, has found its way into what are now forum websites. In the very first part of this series, Mike Fara, owner and founder of Windows 8 Forums (http://windows8forums.com/
), bids you a warm welcome and explains how to create an account, post messages, and perform searches. A history of the forum network (WinVistaForums.com, Windows7Forums.com, and Windows8Forums.com) is also discussed, a long with the long-term goals of these websites. Assuming these videos are used, our plan is to continue producing them to help you navigate the website and learn all of the intricate features available to the public. Thus, please consider this the first part of a long series of videos to help you acclimate yourself with all of the features of the website.
The videos will be integrated into the forum help areas of Windows 8 Forums ("windows8forums.com").
